Myra Scarf - Purple/Red
SWO55MYRPRThe perfect fall and winter accessory, the Myra Scarf is made from 100% Merino wool and available in a range of vibrant colors and patterns. Loop it around your neck to stay warm and stylish.
This handmade wool scarf features an embroidery-like texture created by ornamental weaving techniques practiced for over 500 years in Western India. The laborious process of creating this signature design is often left to men. The talents of the weaver are revealed in the border where tradition calls for a specific thread count and pattern – a skill that is challenging to master.
These fabrics were originally woven as thick blankets for nomadic sheep herders. The weavers now use New Zealand Merino wool to replace the sheep wool that they customarily procured from the local herding community. The result is the Myra Scarf—beautifully warm and soft.
