Nagina Runner - Indigo
RNI06NAGINIntroduce a stylish Indigo runner to change the mood in your room or bring cohesion to your decor. The word indigo is derived from the Greek word for the dye “indikon,” meaning a product from India, the earliest major center for indigo production.
The cheerful Nagina design with small motifs is hand block printed on white canvas using a dye resistant paste made with mud (locally known as dabu). The fabric is then placed in an indigo dye bath to achieve the rich color. Once the resist is removed, the eye catching patterns remain in white against the colored background. The captivating finishing touch to any dinner table, our handmade runners are also beautiful when draped over a bedroom dresser or bureau.
*Some color ruboff is to be expected in indigo hand printed textiles. We recommend cold washing separately before use.
